Paulina is the Polish champion in comics. The "Project with ZUS" competition has been decided

Paulina Fijor, a student of Dr. Bolesław Orzechowicz Elementary School in Kalnikow, has become a laureate of the nationwide competition within the framework of the "Project with ZUS". Her comic book, as one of 40 works qualified for the final, in the opinion of the jury deserved unquestionably 1st place.

The “Project with ZUS” was addressed to primary school students and its main goal was to popularize knowledge in the field of social insurance.

Almost 3 thousand students took part in the competition and were given a difficult task. They had to propose a poster, comic book, film or reel referring to the topic of social insurance and providing an answer to the question of why social insurance is important. The works were diverse in terms of format, tools, but also approach to the issue. The competition jury deliberated long and carefully, and finally awarded 1st place to Paulina Fijor from Primary School in Kalników for the comic book "In the hospital or everywhere". The award was presented in person on Wednesday, June 18, at the headquarters of the institution in Kalników. For this purpose, the institution was visited by, among others, the head of the ZUS Inspectorate in Przemyśl Anna Petruch and the director of the Rzeszów branch of ZUS Mirosław Jarosz.

Second place and second prize in the poster category were received by Zuzanna Bracik from Maria Konopnicka Primary School No. 2 with Bilingual Departments in Jasło for her work "ZUS will give you wings".

The "Project with ZUS" was conducted throughout the year (from October 2024) in all schools that applied for it, and the competition itself was held in three stages: school, provincial and central. The three best works in each category were submitted to the ZUS headquarters by provincial commissions. In total, in the provincial stage, the competition works were prepared by students from 17 primary schools from Podkarpacie.
